Next Lesson: Questions on Hell

A few years ago, I saw a comic strip in which there were people slaving away in a burning cave looking quite miserable except for one guy who was smiling and just whistling away joyously.   The caption showed the devil, in horns with a tail and a pitch-fork, speaking to another angel beside him saying, "We're just not getting to that guy."   Many people think that when a wicked person dies, they go straight to hell to burn forever, writhing in eternal torment, continously burning but never being consumed.   The Bible has much to say about the subject of hell.   In lesson 12, you will see a picture of God's strange act but you will also see a picture of His eternal and merciful love, even for the wicked.
